Impressive antique John Wolfe Forbes American coin silver tea pot. Has band to neck and handle depicting a continuous landscape scene with sheep, shepherd, farmhouses, farmers tilling the land, dogs, water scenes with boats and ships, trees, castles and much more. Figural beast head spout. Figural acorn finial to hinged cover. Ribbed body. Scroll design to foot. Bottom holds impressed I.W.FORBES maker's hallmarks with Sovereign head, Beaver, anchor and star marks. Early 19th century. We tested this piece with a silver x-ray testing gun and it came back as sterling. Measures 11 3/8" height x 12" length (28.8cm x 30.5cm). Total weight of 33.7ozt.Listing originally posted at http
